Presents an Evening with
CBC’s Stuart McLean, Andy Barrie & Friends
George Weston Recital Hall - Toronto Centre for the Arts
7:30 PM - April 23, 2010

Former campers Andy Barrie (CBC Radio’s Metro Morning) and Stuart McLean (CBC Radio’s The
Vinyl Cafe) hosted an evening of stories and song, in the spirit of camp.
The April 23rd event was a huge success! The terrific part is that the joy and enthusiasm generated
at this fundraising event will continue in the lives of the children who will now be able to enjoy the
wonder of camp!
Stuart McLean and Andy Barrie with their clever wit and wisdom captured the audience of young and old,
campers and non-campers. We laughed with Stuart who told the tale of Dave’s trials as a March Break
dog sitter for no less than six dogs and another about Dave receiving a letter from his fourteen-year- old
daughter describing her first two weeks at co-ed camp, “Boys, boys and more boys!”
Canadian musicians Paisley Jura and Peter Katz added musical contributions that brought those
wonderful feelings of camp times with friends.
Thank you to each of our sponsors for their support, salutes to the organizers, and thank you to
everyone who attended and made the joy of camp a reality for many more children.
